Chewy Honey Granola Bars
*These can be popped into the freezer for an anytime snack!
- Chocolate chips are optional. For a twist, swop raisins for cranberries and make with Orange Sunny Hunny!
Ingredients
3 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups puffed rice
1 cup all-purpose flour or 1.5 cups oat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
1/3 cup raisins
1/3 cup chopped dark chocolate/ chocolate chips
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup Sunnybo Hunny
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F/ 180°C. In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients. In a seperate small bowl, combine Sunnybo Hunny, butter/coconut oil and vanilla; pour over dry mixture and mix well. (Mixture will be sticky.)
- Press into a 13x9-in. baking pan – greased or lined with baking paper. Bake 14-18 minutes or until set and edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
